A leadership with an understanding of how the mind works has been a powerful tool

Billy was the Chief of Staff for a global IT and digital organisation of 4,000 people, leading a team of 350 staff based across 15 different countries globally which was heavily fragmented. Billy was tasked with guiding the organisation through the transition from a traditional hierarchy model to a matrix-style model. During the process, he identified that the leaders weren’t equipped for their increased challenges. This led him to investigate how he could support the leaders better. Billy found THOUGHT INTELLIGENCE® and started his journey.

During my THOUGHT INTELLIGENCE® journey, I trusted the process as I could see the logic in how the mind works. When the understanding sunk in, it allowed me to put a whole new context on the life I live. It helped me to deal with the busy environment I work in and have the clarity of thought to deal with the daily challenges.  

I was able to identify when I was letting my thoughts run away, getting in the way of the clarity that allows me to effectively do my job. Understanding that I can’t control my thoughts but that every feeling is a direct result of a thought that I have no control over, I can now just dismiss those thoughts. This was very empowering and has had a huge impact on my life both in and out of work.

My THOUGHT INTELLIGENCE® journey has allowed me to see and understand other people’s challenges. I can guide my staff to provide them with perspective if they are overthinking. This has been very powerful and has benefitted both me and my staff.

On top of this, I have a much better quality of life away from work as I am working smarter, giving me a better work/life balance.  

Since the programme, Billy has put his Global IT Leadership Team of 30 people through the THOUGHT INTELLIGENCE® journey. This has been a huge advantage having the leadership team all talking the same language with the same understanding and spreading a positive ripple through the whole organisation. The organisation has since been through a huge transition with a lot of uncertainty but having a leadership team with an understanding of how the mind works has been a powerful tool to help them and their teams deal with the change.
